Ikon Science is looking for a sales leader and go-to-market trailblazer who understands business trends impacting digital transformation. They are passionate and capable of driving market development for Ikon Science, leveraging the richness of Ikon’s cloud-based technologies to position and drive a new breed of right-sized technology solutions, enable the ecosystem, and address changing customer needs.
Your responsibilities will include achieving quarterly and annual sales quota targets across assigned accounts.
You will support and work with sales teams in other regions and geographies to provide mentorship, guidance and support as required.
Your will be responsible for the development of strategies and programs for the deployment of cloud-based technologies.
Engaging with key decision makers to drive engagement with Ikon Science services at all levels of the customer organization.
Attending and speaking at industry events to promote Ikon Science cloud solutions.
Work with clients to identify solutions that will maximize client value while create significant new business opportunities for Ikon Science.
You will establish Ikon as a leader in knowledge management at both supermajors and large independents.
You will build a foundation understanding, establish new opportunities and grow Ikon’s footprint.
Once Ikon’s cloud solutions business is established, you will build, grow and lead a team of global business development managers who will drive day-to-day interactions and rapid adoption by oil & gas customers. Work closely with Ikon’s product, implementation and partner teams to develop and promote Ikon cloud solutions.
The ideal candidate will have significant leadership experience working with the oil & gas customers
Must have demonstrated experience interacting with C-Suite level executives
Has experience of selling products and services which are new to Market
Must have a minimum of 10 years business development experience
Must have a solid understanding of modern technology. Strong leaderships skills with experience in build and leading sales teams
A degree in computer science, engineering or math is required
An MBA would be valued but is not essential
Must be able to think strategically and analytically about business, product and technical challenges
Must have the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions
Deep understanding of sales frameworks, methodologies and processes
Strong knowledge of relevant technologies, this includes: database systems, IoT, core distributed computing concepts, fundamentals of cloud computing and virtualization, storage systems etc.
Excellent English Language skill, proficiency in another language is also desirable
Excellent numeric, written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of software development practices and data center/infrastructure/networking technologies is highly desirable
Keen sense of ownership and drive
Possess a strong “hunter mentality” able to demonstrate high level of sales activity, sense of urgency, passion and flexibility.
Works well under pressure. Possesses integrity and honesty
