When I started at Sales Hacker, I was filling some big shoes. To try to quickly get the lay of the land, I started speaking with many people who had been speakers at Sales Hacker events, or had written articles for Sales Hacker.

I spoke with dozens, but Barb was one of the few who quickly stood out as somebody I could trust implicitly, and who was willing to help.

I had scheduled a brief introduction call with her, and we spent 20 extra minutes talking. She shared some incredible career advice, both solicited and unsolicited, and event sent me a bottle of wine in the mail as a surprise after we spoke. It was the warmest, most welcome gesture of acceptance into the Sales Hacker community I could have asked for.

While we were working to build the Sales Hacker community as it stands today, her generosity continued. She offered time, ideas, energy, and even free items to support the effort – with no expectation of return.

The world, and the sales world especially, are better as a result of the way Barb chose to live her life.

      Thank you, Barb.

Wow what sad news about @barbgiamanco Dear Barb. I had only met her a couple of weeks ago, but we had several discussions on the platform here and on LinkedIn. Barb was so nice to me, she was very passionate about sales ans the SalesHackerIsiders platform. I am terribly saddened by her sudden departure, life is too short, and she went way too soon.
I am saying prayers for Barb and her family and friends.
      RIP Barb Viya Con Dias

Unfortunately, we did confirm that she has passed. It’s possible that she had pre-scheduled tweets that are now posting.

I worked with Barara on the Sales Hacker Success Summit last December and on some other projects throughout the year. She was an absolute joy to work with. I enjoyed her positivity and can-do attitude, and she was generous in sharing time and talents to make sure the greater sales community could succeed.

I’m heartbroken that we won’t have more time together. I’m always excited to see strong female professionals who (even without realizing it) are role models for the rest of us. Barb was one of those.

@barbgiamanco , her loved ones and this great Community. What can I say that anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her not be thinking….I was quickly impressed by meeting her just a few months ago as a Founding Member of this Community, Her knowledge, generosity, and kindness is why she stood out. When she spoke I made sure to capture every moment. My condolences to her loved ones as she will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

Posted by Mario M. Martinez, Jr. on LinkedIn, mentioning Barb Giamanco. (RIP)
This week we received news that a Vengresonian is no longer with us.

It’s the kind of call that you never want to receive.

The queen herself, book author, sales leader, keynote speaker, one of the original founding leaders behind #socialselling – our friend, our company advisor, and an iconic legend in sales thought leadership was none other than Barbara Giamanco.

I’ll always remember Barb with the late evening conversations over a glass of wine hearing her firm conviction of how to make the #sales profession better.

I’ll also remember her for the blazing trail for #WomenInSales.

She was passionate and never afraid to tell a sales rep what they could do, to be better, especially when they reached out incorrectly over a social medium.

I had to listen to this podcast with Bernie Borges one more time to hear her voice as I missed the opportunity to say good-bye.

The entire Vengreso | Award Winning Virtual Digital Sales Training family loves you Barb.

Thank you for everything you did for us and for sales.

      Rest in Peace.

Barb was so nice and funny on our calls. She really wanted to support Sales Hacker and was even willing to give away her book as a bonus for new members. I’m surprised she passed when we had chatted the day before. 🙁

Incredibly sad news. Barb had a big personality, plenty of (spot-on) opinions, and loved to laugh. That’s how I will remember her.
The sales community loses a good voice.
