Cold Outreach: Expectations vs. Reality

I would love to hear from new SDR's on what the biggest suprise or shock was when they actually started to do cold outreach. I'll start.

My biggest expectation vs reality was how many people I would speak with. I thought I would be having conversations all day long. Instead I spent a lot of time navigativing phone trees, leaving voicemails and sending emails.

      Same here. I was expecting conversations and having the hardest time getting people on the phone. Also we sell such a niche product, once I do get someone on the phone it is hard to keep them.
